Hugo Morlet, the developer behind LEDoMATIC

Behind LEDoMATIC is Hugo Morlet, a developer for 9 years with a passion for new technologies and IoT systems. His idea: show the next metro, RER or bus departures on a small connected device, with the design of the signs you see in the station every day.

  1. A project born from Île-de-France Mobilités open data

It all started as a small personal project, just for the fun of coding. Hugo was playing with the open data published by Île-de-France Mobilités, the Paris region transport authority: lines, stops and, above all, real-time waiting times for metros, RER trains, trams and buses. He programmed a small screen showing the next departures from his station, borrowing the look of the Paris metro signs.

  2. Videos that went viral on social media

Hugo shared his first prototypes in videos on social media. The videos went viral and messages poured in, almost always with the same question: “Where can I buy one?”

  3. The birth of LEDoMATIC

To meet this demand, Hugo created LEDoMATIC, a brand of original connected devices designed and handmade in France. Each waiting-time display is assembled, programmed and tested one by one before shipping. Beyond Paris, LEDoMATIC now works in many cities across France and Europe.

  4. An article in Le Parisien

On 2 November 2026, the French daily Le Parisien published an article about the project. Many readers discovered the story of this connected keyring showing metro waiting times, and took an interest in the project.

  5. What's next?

LEDoMATIC keeps growing: new cities, new devices and custom projects. Have an idea for a connected device? Hugo can design and build it for you.
